We recently had the lot graded in preparation

 for "Griffith Park". Here's "The Man" with his 

new toy-a telescoping pole with a chain saw.

Pay close attention to this grouping of trees

  at the front of the house. They're starting to

 look like Qtips!

difference.

This will be more of a technical blog as

we were at the electrical/plumbing/insulation

stage that didn't show very well in pix.

It's been so long since I've posted, I forgot the 

sequencing of how things should be posted, so 

these are sorta backwards.This is a picture of

a barrier that is put up next to the reflective barrier. 

It looks & feels like a styrofoam egg carton & allows

for air to move between it & the reflective barrier

which will carry hot air out through the vents in 

the attic.

This is the reflective barrier. It's amazing

how much cooler this made the house even

before putting in the insulation.

This shows 2 different types of insulation being

used.The one on the left is blown in & faces an

exterior wall.This product is made of newspapers

& paper products & goes in wet & has to dry before

being closed up.This product will NOT burn even

with a torch held to it.The pink product on the 

right is a typical batting that went between the

interior walls, ceilings & floors, under stairs-mostly 

for sound reduction.

This went up behind the blown-in insulation

& holds it in.For those of you that sew, it looks

like interfacing.

Another critter--not so friendly. One of the 

workers killed it in the garage. It was pretty cold

on this day, think it was trying to find a warm

place. Maybe one of you guys can tell me 

what kind it is since I've been away so long.

It's coloring & all look familiar, but can't 

remember what it is--no rattlers. Katie---I'll

try to have them all out of here before you come.

Not exciting, but I thought it interesting how 

the a/c was installed-on its side in the attic.

It seemed to me since my last posting that things were going slow until I looked at the last pictures I posted. Then I realized just how much has been done since then. They're starting to work mostly inside now; working on electrical, plumbing, etc. Should be starting the sheetrock week after next.
